On September 27th, 1998 the HYPOHH Rules were approved at a Special General Meeting and the inaugural members of the HYPOHH Committee were appointed. Chairman: Dr. Pierre-Marc Gilles Bouloux
Dr. Bouloux is the Head of the Department of Endocrinology, Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London. He leads one of few UK-based teams researching into the genetic aspects, causes and treatment of Kallmann's syndrome. It is largely thanks to his enthusiasm and support for the entire HYPOHH project that HYPOHH has become what it is today. He is the author of a number of books (co-author of Understanding Kallmann's Syndrome) and medical journal articles on the genetic aspects of Kallmann's syndrome. Secretary: Mark Andrew Thomas Saunders
Mark, like Dr. Bouloux, is a founder member of HYPOHH and has been running the group's day-to-day activities since its foundation in 1994. He is also the co-author of Understanding Kallmann's Syndrome, a patient-targeted information booklet. You can read his story by clicking here. Treasurer: Lorna Rosalind Saunders
Lorna is Mark's wife and has been helping to run HYPOHH since it was founded. She will be keeping a close eye on HYPOHH finances and as a qualified and practising lawyer, Lorna is our very own 'legal eagle'. Nominations There will be the opportunity to nominate yourself or other HYPOHH members at our first Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday July 17th at the Birmingham Children's Hospital and at every subsequent AGM.
