The meeting is being held at:

The Executive Suite

Worcestershire County Cricket Club

County Ground

New Road

Worcester

WR2 4QQ.

Directions:

The cricket ground is located on the banks of the River Severn on the edge of the town centre in Worcester. It is on the directly opposite side of the river than the cathedral. There should be plenty of parking within the ground, but they may be a match in progress. There is plenty of parking in the nearby town centre.

Driving:

The ground is 7 miles from Junction 6 or 3 miles from Junction 5 of the M5. The ground is well sign posted with the brown cricket stump signs from both junctions. Failing that just head for the town centre and the ground is located just over the Severn Bridge, following signs towards Hereford / Malvern if driving away from the town centre.

Trains:

Worcester is served by 2 stations, one at Foregate Street and one at Shrub Hill.

The best station is Foregate Street which is an easy walk to the venue. You could walk from Shrub Hill but it is about a one and half mile walk.

Services are run by First Great Western for trains from London, Oxford & Bristol or by London Midland for trains from Birmingham and the Midlands.

http://www.londonmidland.com

The best website to try is this one:

http://www.thetrainline.com

It gives details of all train services to and from Worcester and you can book cheap tickets in advance.

Walking from Foregate Street / Worcester Town Centre:

The venue is a comfortable 10 or 15 min walk from the Foregate Station.

As you come out of the station turn left and walk towards the town centre. Take the 3rd turning on the right: Broad Street, just before the pedestrian area starts. Carry on straight down Broad Street, cross the main road, then carry on straight, cross the Severn Bridge and the cricket ground is on the left hand side just over the bridge. The cricket ground is right on the banks of the river.

Accommodation:

There are no big chain hotels in the centre of Worcester but there are a number of smaller hotels.

First place to try would be the Travel Lodge:

www.travellodge.co.uk

Other hotels are:

The White House Hotel

http://www.whitehousehotels.com/pages/worcester

The Fownes Hotel

http://www.fownesgroup.co.uk/fownes

The Diglis Hotel

http://www.diglishousehotel.co.uk

All of these are within the town centre and are within an easy walk of the venue.

Airports:

If you happen to be flying in, the closest airport is Birmingham International, it is a lot more convenient to use than Heathrow. It is a short train journey from the airport to Birmingham New Street train station where you can catch a train to Worcester. Check the www.thetrainline.com website for train times into Worcester.

Any problems just send me an e-mail and I will try to suggest something.
