BBC to make documentary on Kallmann's and HH.

The BBC has commissioned the making of a health documentary on Kallmann's Syndrome and Hypogonadotrophic Hypogonadism.

Maverick TV, who have a track record in making health related programme will make the programme for the BBC.

The primary focus will be the story of a young, newly diagnosed patient. The programme will feature his diagnosis and treatment to help him go through puberty.

The makers are also after any stories from any men or women with Kallmann's or HH who have had treatment in the past, or are undergoing treatment now. They want to get a general overall view of the condition from as many points of views as possible.

Dr Pierre Bouloux, a leading Kallmann's doctor at the Royal Free in London is the main medical contact for the documentary.

Research is still going on and filming is expected to start in the early Summer.

Maverick TV would be interested to hear from anybody who would wish to take part, not necessarily to camera but to provide some background information or input.

If anybody is interested in more information they can contact this site or contact Julia MacKenzie directly at Maverick TV.
